Waxing the Way to a more circular future
Every year, tons of candle wax waste end up in landfills. Candle wax — whether paraffin, beeswax, or plant-based waxes like soy, coconut, and palm — is currently not recycled, or only on a very limited scale. Yet, it is a reusable material that can be reprocessed into new useful forms.

WaxLoop has created the first local wax recycling center in South Santa Barbara County, where residents and businesses can recycle used candle wax instead of throwing it away. Creating a wax recycling facility that purifies used wax and transforms it into new, sustainably sourced products is an effective way to generate high-value goods with a minimal environmental footprint.

By partnering with local businesses where candle wax and holders can be collected, this initiative supports our city’s sustainability goals by diverting waste from landfills, raising some more environmental awareness, and creating new eco-responsible products and hopefully soon, new job opportunities.
Mission & Vision
The principle that guide every decision we make.
Our Mission
Transform recycled materials into valuable, eco-conscious products that show usefulness, design, and circularity can thrive together.
Our Vision
To help create a world where resources circulate, and waste becomes opportunity. Join the circular revolution - with style.
Our Promise
Every WaxLoop product is made with a minimum of 50% recycled candle wax. We reuse every bit of the wax we filter in new, clean products. Our packagings are reusable.
Our Impact
We measure success in waste diverted, communities empowered and carbon foot prints reduced. It’s just the beginning of the WaxLoop journey and we monitor data as we move forward.
The Story Shaping WaxLoop
A journey toward deeper environmental consciousness often begins with small, intentional choices—choices that gradually expand into a way of living grounded in sustainability, thoughtful design, and community connection. This evolving mindset is what inspired the creation of WaxLoop, a project rooted in circular thinking, ethical production, and intentional living.

Built on the belief that materials deserve a second life, WaxLoop partners with local businesses to serve as recycling drop-off points, ensuring that items like wax and candle holders are diverted from landfills. These materials are then carefully filtered, cleaned, and transformed into beautifully crafted candles and related products designed to elevate interiors while honoring both people and the planet.

The WaxLoop story also draws inspiration from experiences in environmental education, community engagement, and sustainable entrepreneurship—from supporting local schools in their efforts to reduce single-use plastics and create pollinator-friendly spaces, to exploring new models of local food distribution that connect people with organic, seasonal produce. Sonia Battaille, a passionate advocate for environmental stewardship, has been instrumental in shaping WaxLoop's vision, bringing her experience in sustainable practices and community building to the forefront. Her past experience as an interior architect and marketeer has also played a crucial role, allowing her to blend aesthetic vision with effective outreach, ensuring that WaxLoop's sustainable mission is beautifully presented and widely understood.

Today, WaxLoop continues this path: blending thoughtful design with a commitment to regenerative practices and showing how creativity and sustainability can meaningfully coexist.
